Being in a hurry---

When is there time to take time?  I don't even have time to finish this post! Well, my advice is to use every moment you have, to be as productive as you can. Life passes by as quick as you live it, so live it. You can rest when your body says so.

Weekends never end weak

The weekend over, one great show finished (thanks with great effort to CENOPE, Saison Cinq, Lord Faz, Beattrotterz, DJ Depose, special guests Kass & Karle, Mista Marko, all the staff at Black Sheep, and a great crowd of supporters ), and an upcoming busy week ahead; I can only focus and remain motivated on the remainder of this year.
Not just another weekend, but one to reflect on and learn from.

Overcoming annoyance

I never look at failure as permanent, but more a very annoying challenge.  We are not entirely steering our course, but in the middle of adversity, there are definitive puzzle pieces that we can use to alter our momentum. Sounds pseudo intellectual, but it isn't.
I mean, when you've failed, life does not stop to console you, does it? Your next effort is what will count after all. We tend to look back, much later down the road whenever life allows.
In the middle of Marseilles, an ant finds itself circling about my leg. (Denim would be a strange terrain for any creature, as far as I'm concerned.) I missed my train and he missed the last turn his fellow worker, just ahead, took.
Nobody is stressed, nobody is lost. I handily set him on his way, and the sun setting stubbornly to my right, says all is right in the multi-verse.
I'm taking an ant's effort from now on!

It won't stop

Recording in Aix en Provence. Met Sabri and dropped one very good track.
I'll be back on the blog in the next few days. Been productive thus far and looking to put in a lot of "work" today.
Today's session with Lekar, will cement a project we've been at for the last year! It features Kass, a renowned emcee, who's pretty busy with a couple releases of his own!

After that, moving on to Montpelier, to meet Cenope and Lord FAZ. We got a show to rock and some heads to impart, what will be, one very live show ; guaranteed!

Feeling time

Killing time; I prefer the phrase "feeling time." The usual pre-show preparation can encompass many things. For me, it comes down to, at it's most rudimentary level, the internal struggle to remain focused. Many resources are at one's disposal, but in actuality, the only ones that really need be present are  passion and desire.

EYE FOCUS SERIES - Intro to TRIBE OF LEVI

When on your path, it often takes you way out, only to come back to the point from which you departed. I wanted to take some time for the next couple of months to introduce you all to the people I have worked with and continue to treasure at heart. For this entry I'd like to introduce you to TRIBE OF LEVI. Thru BRU LEI (check HERE or HeRE), I was introduced to a group of great people.  I had kept in touch with BRU over the years through certain other unforseen connections and finally touched down on his west coast stomping grounds. For the first times in Sacramento California, I met a crew with as much drive, skill, and self-determination as myself. Upon meeting your peers, I think there is, at once, a certain repoire and an almost otherworldly communication. Well here is the TRIBE OF LEVI, and I'm sure after being introduced, you will, as I, be drawn back repeatedly to both revisit and discover some very talented cats.

TRIBE OF LEVI consists, for the most part of 3 emcees.
Mic Jordan(ENS) is the founder and "veteran" of the group.
Every tribe needs a guide.
Poor is the "natural."
Being natural is not an easy skill to master.
N.O.N. (Now or Never) is the "philosopher."
As a philosopher, you are constantly in motion. Re-refining the new and constantly revisiting the old.

Now if that don't grab you(c'mon it's 12:51 speaking at you), then as I always do (having provided links above) I must make you see, hear, and become acquainted.

THINGS TO DO

Now I won't blow it all out here, but check this LINK to peep more vids via their homesite.
As my focus on T.O.L. continues, I'll be revealing more videos, posting interviews, and announcing upcoming events in the case you're in the area (which I would highly recommend; I enjoy Sactown).
Stay in touch and keep an eye out for much more on this story.

Peace and Respects,

Le Essence

As the world continues to grow, so
does the speed at which we do. I begin to think that our possibilities, in turn, multiply. Dreams, ideas, and notions continue to evolve. Wishes, fantasies, goals; all that we manifest, simply pop up into view. The very air we breathe, becomes filled with our essence. With this occurrence, I am certain that we will inevitably begin to truly taste, whatever it is, that our hearts have desired. Call me a dreamer, but how else do you explain that which fuels who you are? Carpe diem, and follow your path to the place where today joins tomorrow.
Inner peace and given respect,

Of Small circles, Stevens, and The Find Magazine.

-1-

-1- Today I wanted to share some DIFFERENT textures. Good music is good music, no matter where and no matter what. The first one, baobab, is kind of a mellow way to start the day, but I think the harmonies and arrangement interest me plus the rhythm and tempo kinda lead to an overall "good" feel.
Smile, you don't have to frown all the time!
 * Thanks to SCOF (SMALL CIRCLE OF FRIENDS) for the reference. You'll want to check out this teaser of theirs if you're into cooled out Japanese Hip-Hop...oh, and tell em they need to collaborate with 12:51!
Here's a link to the teaser and another of their many videos SCOF-Pass The Mic & SCOF-大脱走
Eh, why not show you what they got, huh?
BONUS:

-2-This one's for my friend back in a fine suburb of Chicago...Skokie. His name is Steve and he's a fellow eclectic music listener, cult movie watching kinda guy. "The dude" abides. Been two years since I seen him, but he's on my mind all the time. We've shared some great music, great drinks and smokes, and most importantly, great stories. A funny guy who I wish all the best, in fact, we're overdue for a day-long drive delivering office supplies to the most random places you could think of in the fine suburb of Skokie. This one's for you Stevie! PITZ, I ran into randomly but caught my ear something vicious. Well-worth checking out for the other vids if you're into progressive jazzy based electronic "things."

-3-

-3-This is a joint I ran into via THE FIND MAGAZINE. It could be labeled as Trip-hop, but I'd like to think it's a bit more progressive than that term would lead you to believe. Dirty Art Club has this tantalizing lo-fi ingenuity to it. Always catching you off-guard! Four thumbs up for me.
My good friend, Danny at The Find Magazine, has got some great thing going on. all things hip-Hop and super cool current beat based, can be easily found at their site (THE FIND MAGAZINE).
They offer great new record reviews, new videos, great interviews, free downloads and previews of exclusive mixtapes, full-lengths and a whole whopping heap of other goodies that could keep the most disciplined audiophile smiling and sore in the neck. My hats off too the entire staff for maintaining and staying above the crowd. Gotta get back to Amsterdam sometime soon too, but that's a different story for a different day. Quick shout to UNCUT HIP HOP and all the peoples in NL!

Have a different day!

Flash games

WALK TALL AND CARRY FAST THUMBS!

WE'RE TALKING FLASH GAMES TODAY!
Okay I shouldn't be one to waste time, but here are some pretty cool diversions from the norm (-ahem-games). This is a random list. There are plenty of great options, but I chose some of my frequent spots as they all load easy and have the minimal amount of advertising pre-game.

NEW DISCOVERY

BOTANICULA
Disgustingly cute in the best way (children safe) but VERY interactive and unbelievable visuals and sound!
Play the demo at the site link above or download the full version.
4/4

APPS

EMPIRE ONLINE
A FREE app for your phone. It is the first Chinese MMORPG according to many sources. Pretty intuitive and fairly addictive in a "use up my spare time" way. Tons of online players and the opportunity to choose from one of four type of charactes as in most. The twist? Join an empire and behold you are in the midst of a fantasy battle between worlds.
4/4

RUNNERGAMES
A great developer of free app games for the mobile (Android confirmed.)
Easy and fun. Need we say more?
My pick:
TINY ROBOTS (hands down the most original twist on Space Invader/Galaxian I have ever played. Tons of replay value and if you're frivolous, yes you can buy your way up and super power your tiny robot. Not me I'm just fine without spending extra loots. Oh, there is now a BETA version available either at the website or your favorite app market.

GREAT FLASH GAME SITES

NITROME
Why include a link to an entire website? Well, being a fan of that 8-bit feel, Nitrome has almost any type of game genre you seek covered and covered well! Been following for a bit and they continue to bring original and attractive visuals in an easy to learn format. My personal suggestions:
RUBBLE TROUBLE/ FLIPSIDE/ FINAL NINJA/ STEAMLANDS/ NITROME MUST DIE
BUT all of the games are well-worth tryiing and can keep you entertained for one minute or one week!
Oh, and they all load up VERY easy which is always a bonus in my world.

KONRGEGATE
Another great site for a variety of great games. I happen to enjoy some of the development teams that they choose to include in their collection so that's why they are listed here. Also VERY clean website with few problems ever.

MINICLIP
Miniclip has one of the biggest selections of games I've seen with ore added weekly!
Easy load and not too much pub, with the incentive of joining with free membership to win awards associated with certain games, thus raising your "status" on the website. Joining can lead to some pretty fierce but friendly competition with gamers around the world.

GOOGLE PLUS
Have you given your Google+ a run for it's money? They have not as many as some older sites, but quality is paramount and thematically speaking, very addictive in a "man, I gotta reach my next character level" way. The option to spend real money for level ups exists (though I believe in earning it the old fashioned ways; actually playing or cheating. LOL) I also hear GOOGLE PLAY has some heat but I'm still stuck here for now.
My picks:
GANGS OF BOOMTOWN/ ZOMBIE LANE/ SHADOW FIGHT/ GARDENS OF TIME

There are plenty others you can read about in many other blogs here, through using your Google Search.

One last mention:
JUICY BEAST
I like this development team's style. Fun graphics, easy and intuitive controls and hours of gameplay in each game. Kudos yo!

Okay back to work.
Peace and happy gaming!
