SILENCE RADIO is gaining much buzz and attention here around the French music scene, but also extending into foreign waters with a whole combo platter of featurings. There are so many blogs pushing it out there. My place of choice is THE FIND MAGAZINE. You will be seeing more and more of PUMPKIN, of that I am sure. You're curious aren't you?

Well Wednseday December 12th, 201-2, Pumpkin is throwing a soiree at ALIMENTATION GENERALE in celebration of the "bon nouvelle."
If you are in Paris I would highly recommend it. Why? You're just full of questions eh? Firstly the concert is FREE (GRATUIT, cost nothing, zero dollars, walk right on in, EVERYONE IS WELCOME!)

BY THE WAY....Ms. Pumpkin...what record would you pick if you had to pick one record?
A little bit of background story.....and how it connects.
I've known them both for a few years now and it's been a pleasure working with both of them.
They bring a quality back to Hip-Hop, particularly to the French music scene, which instills true school ideals and blends them with tomorrow's sounds. FOR EXAMPLE:
When I arrived here in Ile de France, this was one of the first videos I viewed, which would soon introduce me to the rest of the grand scene that has existed in France since the 80's. It still remains one of my favorites to this day. No I haven't translated it in it's entirety (ma francais c'est mal), but the vibe and feel are uniquely attention grabbing. SEE/HEAR FOR OURSELF (not just for you or me but us):
Thanks to EL CHAVO of MOLTS RECORDS I was introduced to this duo and we hit it off pretty quickly. It seems fate, time and wind, were all on the same pace back in these days....
One cannot help but continue to progress and connect with the peers and fellow practitioners in your scene, so as Vin's network grew, so did Mentalow's and Pumpkin's. Vin's and I ventured on a single for his, then, upcoming freshman release PUT IT ON WAX. The video above and the following were genius promotion tools and necessary in both growth musically and personally.
So yeah it was raining, but sun usually follows rain doesn't it? We joined with Jonathon Joly and Francesco Roversi on the launch of PUT IT ON WAX and gained a single to help push the release.
At the time Pumpkin had spoken of her upcoming album. Unfortunately, she was busy at the time, and we never got a chance to collaborate. Time continued on, and MENTALOW began to gain momentum. Through the tireless effort of Pumpkin and Vin's, Mentalow has now become a force to be reckoned with here in France. DJ LYRIK joined the mix, to solidify their live show, which has become quite formidable I would say. Let's take a look:
I send shouts and wishes of congratulations and continued success to two very dear friends of mine.
You be sure and visit MENTALOW as they have begun to amass more and more content regularly, which means reason to visit and revisit again and again. I expect Pumpkin's SILENCE RADIO will be just the push they need to start 2013 with a <bang>.
SEE YOU ALL AT ALIMENTATION GENERALE on DECEMBER 12th, 2012...this WEDNESDAY(MERCREDI). THIS ONE WILL BE ONE TO GO DOWN IN HISTORY!

He is a lyricist with a most versatile flow(in three languages ) who's first release in 2005 set him permanently in the French Hip-Hop scene. He has a nice number of releases including his latest UNDOE, which you can link to here. He's played onthe same bill with MOP and been compared to MOS DEF. I'm looking forward to his set Wednesday as we haven't met, but I have a feeling it will be an unforgettable evening.
